A gentle meander around a circular walk, no more than 6 miles. The route will encompass locations such as Meavy village, Burrator Reservoir and Sheepstor Village.
During the walk we can talk about some of the history and mythology of these amazing locations as well as take a look at the flora and fauna we encounter.
The walk will start and end at a fantastic historic pub so you may wish to enjoy a refreshing drink or a fantastic meal after.
Mindfull Meavy Meander
In order for you to enjoy your Adventure even more we ask you bring the follwong with you.
- A small rucksack.
- A waterproof jacket and trousers.
- A warm layer such as a fleace, jumper or jacket.
- A hat and gloves.
- A flask with a hot drink if you would like one.
- At least 1 liter of water.
- A camera if you wish to take any pictures.
Please ensure you wear clothing and footwear which is appropriate to the weather and for lowland walking on Dartmoor. The weather can be extreamly unforgiving and the terrain is undulating and uneven underfoot.

We will begin and finish in the Royal Oak pub located in Meavy village. Parking can be very difficult to find within Meavy village so we ask you car share as best you can. Parking can be found on the street outside the pub and also within the village but we ask you are considerate to villagers and other traffic when parking your vehicle.
