A gentle meander on a circular walk to explore and enjoy the beautiful part of Dartmoor around the picturesque village of Meavy.

A short walk of just over 6km (4 miles). 

 

The route takes in locations such as Burrator Reservoir and its impressive dam and Sheep Tor Village and its 15th century Church. We will also pass through some stunning woodland and visit an interesting standing stone.

During the walk we will discuss some of the history and mythology of some of these amazing locations as well as take a look at some of the fascinating flora and fauna we encounter. 

The walk will start and end in the quaint village of Meavy on Dartmoor. At the end of the walk there will be an opportunity to enjoy a refreshing drink or some fine pub food, should you want to, in a historic Dartmoor pub located in Meavy.

 

We welcome all ages and abilities for this walk . It will use footpaths and tracks but please be aware there are hills and some undulating terrain. We will be walking over lose ground which may be slippery and lose. Please contact us if you wish to discus more about this walk prior to booking.

Please note, parking is limited within Meavy village and we promote the car sharing as much as possible. Please let us know if you are willing to car share and we can introduce people to each other to support this.
