Wild Camping and Expedition Skills Workshop

Getting out in to the hills and mountains can be a hugely rewarding experience.

When you imagine yourself in the outdoor environment what do you see?

With wild camping growing in popularity in recent years, it is important for us all to take a moment and consider our impact on the outdoor spaces and locations we visit to practice this activity. By spending time learning and developing the grassroots skills in wild camping and expedition skills, allows you to be safer while you are enjoying the places you visit, and to be more mindful and leave the places as you found them so you, and others, can continue to enjoy them for years to come. Everything is more enjoyable if you have the right kit and equipment, a good level of knowledge, and you have prepared. It really allows you to immerse yourself and enjoy your time away from your everyday world.

The skills and experiences you gain on this wild camping and expedition skills workshop can be used all over the world too, so you have even more freedom to get away when and where you want!

This workshop is delivered over 2 days and 1 night with lots of opportunity to put skills in to practice fully supported and mentored by an experienced Mountain Leader.

The workshop covers the following;

  • Clothing and footwear.

  • Kit and equipment.

  • Safety considerations and procedures.
